NIEZABITÓW KOLONIA

Roadside shrine in honor of those who fought for Poland's freedom and independence 1939-1945

In 1947, at the initiative of Ferdynand Flasiński and Marian Pomorski, with the support of the local community of Niezabitów Kolonia, in the place of the old wooden figurine, a chapel measuring 120 x 100 x 335 cm was erected in community action with the plaque "In honour of those fallen for freedom and independence of Poland 1939–1945 ". The memorial of the events that were not distant at that time found his place close to the old school, on socially-owned land.

In the 1990s, the roadside shrine was partially destroyed by a car. The perpetrators repaired it and moved the roadside shrine a few meters from the road. The site was fenced with a metal fence for safety.
